3 Skincare Splurges I’ll Never Compromise For Dry Skin

Thanks to my unlucky stars, I moved to San Francisco at the height of their coldest winter in 150 years! It comes to no surprise to anyone that when moving halfway across the world you’ll be welcomed with a few hiccups amongst other relocating pains but, that’s not the worst of it.

Extremely dry winter skin does not discriminate and in my naturally oily prone case, it was freaking out over the sub-zero temperatures. The dry (and static-y?!) climate was making my skin overproduce more oil to compensate for the dryness and surprise, surprise my regular skin care was not cutting it.

Cue: Acne at 38 years old…

But thanks to my saving grace, Canadian beauty blogger @Glamzilla aka Stephanie Valentino was going through the same winter woes and you know damn well I took her word for bible. Here are the three skincare splurges worth the price tag.

Embryolisse, Lait-Crème Concentré Moisturiser

I've purchased this moisturiser countless times but that just goes to show how amazing this product truly is! In true French beauty fashion, this moisturiser doubles as a moisturiser and as an evening mask. Just apply a thick layer in the evening and wake up with glowing skin by morning.

ole henriksen, peptide boost moisturiser

A skin barrier strengthening, moisture boosting super hero thanks to added hyaluronic acid and ceramides. *chefs kiss* Try this moisturiser for super juicy plump skin that's perfect for all skin types.

ole henriksen, hydrabarrier nourishing face oil

I hear you, the idea of using an oil on naturally oily skin seems like a no go. However, this face oil is non-comedogenic meaning it does not clog pores. Layer this oil on top of your moisturiser to lock in hydration all day and all night. Bonus points for it's non greasy texture!
Say bye bye to clogged pores and hello hydration.

Happy hunting!

Love, T xoxo
