While winter weather calls for hibernation, 9-5 duty also calls (ugh). So we may as well treat ourselves to a few winter workwear pieces to make the mornings merrier!
After a predominately black “work-drobe” last year I’m now determined to add more colour and print (no need to match the weather!), while still keeping things warm, comfortable and practical.
So what’s on my list? Shirts and blouses, coupled with easy to layer jersey material and knits. Pants that are slim and fitted for warmth, skirts teamed with thick tights, and longline cardigans added under coats.
For a quick wardrobe update a scarf or shawl is a no-brainer. Pick a pattern to add a bit of interest to a simple coat or a neutral to pare back a bright one.
When it comes to shoes it’s sensible all the way (rain slicked pavements are no joke!), but that doesn’t mean they can’t be stylish! Opt for a low or block heel, comfy and covered loafers or a trusty gumboot.
